June was a particularly intense and exciting month. Raúl del Coso and Javier Ardura, Wetech founders, have participated in three of the main technology conferences taking place in Spain.Based in Gijon, Wetech managers are frequently travelling cross Spain and abroad, to share their knowledge and experience in the development of wearables for payment. For the last two weeks, Madrid was our second home.
On the 21st and 22nd of June, we were at MoneyConf Madrid.
This conference has become the reference event on payments. For this reason, Wetech team is proud to have a small stand in the start-ups area and of having been shortlisted as one of the 24 participant start-ups in the MoneyConf Pitch. In this edition, the exhibition attracted more than 1,800 visitors from more than 60 countries. In view of the successful results, the organisers have confirmed that Madrid will also be hosting this conference again in 2017..
On the 23rd of June, Wetech participated in the Ingenium Mobile Forum.
Raúl de Coso, our CTO, was invited to take part in a round table on Mobile Payment, sharing session with Paypal, Orange, Visa y Ecija Abogados. It was a fluent, entertaining and motivating one-hour conversation on the present and future of mobile payment in Spain and in the international context. We take this opportunity to thank the organisers for counting on us.
These two interesting conferences came after Wetech attendance to the 2nd Edition of the Digital Security Congress, which took place in the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on the 16th of June.
